Charlotte G. Orear passed away on November 14, 2012. She was 101 years old. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road. Charlotte G. Orear was born in Meade, Kansas on July 25, 1911. She lived in Meade until she was three years old at which time she moved with her mother to Kansas City, Missouri. Charlotte G. Orear passed away on November 14, 2012. She was 101 years old. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 3, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road. Charlotte G. Orear was born in Meade, Kansas on July 25, 1911. She lived in Meade until she was three years old at which time she moved with her mother to Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Westport High School and Kansas City Junior College. After attending school she began working in motion picture theatres where she met her husband, Richard Orear. Charlotte Orear was a member of Chapter F of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. She was a member of Old Mission Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the Kansas City Rose Society, and a member of Indian Hills Country Club. She was active in various philanthropic enterprises along with her husband. She was most active in helping to create the Richard and Charlotte Orear Center for Outpatient Services at the Baptist Medical Center, and with the creation of a new Academic Center building at the Cottey College in Nevada, Missouri. She is survived by nephew, Richard Eberle of Kansas City and niece, Susan Eberle Mims of Orlando, Florida.
