Betty Lou Woods Puckett Summers, 92, Belton, Missouri passed away September 13, 2017 at Beautiful Savior. Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, at Mt. Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri 64131. Betty was born October 25, 1924 in Princeton, Missouri. She was raised on a farm, then attended Chillicothe Business College. After graduation she moved to Kansas City. She served as an administrative assistant and retired from Martin Fromm and Associates as Executive Director for The Association of Diesel Specialists. Betty was an avid reader and skilled knitter. She was active in her church and loved playing in the Bell Choir.
The family would like to express their thanks to Beautiful Savior Nursing Home and Crossroads Hospice.
She was preceded in death by her parents Eldon and Marie Woods, husband Resol Puckett and two brothers William and Alfred. Betty is survived by her husband of 35 years, Merrill Summers, son Jay Puckett (Janice), daughter Linda McCord (Tom), five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
